The SEC and recruiting
Here is an interesting read about recruiting: http://the-ozone.net/football/2011/weekthatwas_11_02_04.html
I think that after reading this article it makes more sense why we signed 24 players, our new coaching staff is recruiting Auburn men. They want to be here and be part of Auburn University.

Re: The SEC and recruiting
A key development in this year's recruiting is that head to head with UA on 20 prospects, we signed 13, and there were 2 more whose hearts told them Auburn was the right place for them. And this is not considering other schools we were up against.
This staff will not be satisfied with being second to anyone in recrutiing and developing the players they need, and they will not be restricted in where they go for recruits or what school they go up against.
This is really a new era not just in the SEC, but across other conferences as well - Auburn is now considered a national recruiter and every majpor conference school has to contend with us.

Re: The SEC and recruiting
If the SEC office and the NCAA weren't a bunch of spineless wimps the University of Alabama Tuscaloosa would not have a football program to be recruiting for. The program at UAT has been caught violating rules while on probation twice. But the NCAA will not enforce their own rules. Why is this? What does it take for the NCAA to consider enforcing their rules?
